Re-accreditation of Partner Agencies against the new GEF Environmental and Social Policy
An assessment of the 18 GEF Partner Agency safeguard procedures against the GEF’s new Environmental and Social Policy, Gender Policy, and Stakeholder Engagement Policy. The contract involved detailed analysis of the safeguard policies and procedures of Partner Agencies, and included the development of Action Plans for assisting agencies to come into compliance. Our Senior Partner was responsible for the development of a methodology for assessing Partner Agency safeguard system compliance and a line-by-line comparison between the 96 GEF safeguards criteria, and the Partner Agency systems.

Independent evaluation of the safeguards system of the Green Climate Fund
Members of a team assisting the Independent Evaluation Unit of the UN Green Climate Fund to evaluate the Fund’s Environmental and Social Safeguards system. Responsibilities included benchmark comparisons with the World Bank, ADB, AfDB, GEF, IaDB, USAID, DEG and FMO. Also responsible for portfolio analysis, and two country case studies. Our two partners were entirely responsible for portfolio/data analysis. Responsible for international MFI benchmarking. Lead on two country case study missions. Continuous involvement in the writing of the evaluation report.
